Meet the team

Me and the three dogs who make working from home a lot less quiet.

I'm the only one on the team who can open the treat drawer, which I suspect is most of why the dogs keep me around. I grew up in Charlotte, taught AP history in Rock Hill and now train staff and lead AI adoption at NeighborImpact from a home office the dogs think is theirs. When I'm not working, I'm usually running, on a trail with them or losing at a strategy game.

The boss

Drey is our first dog and my shadow. She goes everywhere I go and is deeply offended when she can't. She's also deaf, which has never slowed her down: she runs the house on eye contact, hand signals and a well-timed head tilt. Give her a ball and an open field off leash and she's the happiest dog alive.

Golden retriever and husky mix

The middle child

Luna is the sweetest of the three, and the softest. All she wants is belly rubs, attention and a lap to lean on, and she cuddles better than any dog we've met. She got the golden retriever's heart and the husky's good looks, and she simply loves love.

The youngest

Rashida is the youngest and, by a wide margin, the rowdiest. She has the most energy of the bunch, she is always hungry and she always wants to go swimming or chase something. If something is moving, she's after it. If something is quiet, she's about to fix that.
