Growing the program

  • Led digital and print recruitment campaigns that grew registered volunteers by 38%.
  • Welcomed 184 first-time volunteers in 2025 and filled 1,300+ shifts.
  • Volunteers contributed 18,965 hours in 2025, up for the second straight year and worth about $691,000 in service value.
  • Coordinate volunteers from 25+ partner organizations.

Keeping volunteers coming back

  • Write a weekly volunteer newsletter that drives 13.5% of new volunteer referrals.
  • Designed the Volunteer Passport, a stamp booklet that rewards cross-program participation, recruiting friends, hour milestones and skill building.
  • Track post-shift satisfaction, which holds at 96%, above the 90% goal.
  • Manage a program budget of about $15,000 a year.

Events

  • Coordinated 66 volunteers and 230+ hours for Empty Bowls 2025, which raised $77,440 in sponsorships and ticket sales.
  • Staffed Foodie Crawl 2025 with 40 volunteers contributing 120 hours.
