Certified Teacher
Before I trained adults, I taught AP U.S. History, Government and Economics to 120+ students a year.

54%AP U.S. History pass rate
94%+state Civics Exam pass rate
120+students a year
1,800+students at Northwestern

I can say without any reservations that Mr. Jeffrey is one educator that I would take with me to any school I was fortunate enough to lead.
I consider him one of the top teachers in our district.
Grant Jeffrey is a champion of all students.
I have secretly hoped that he would eventually replace me as a department chair.
The questions and discussion throughout the activity made Supply and Demand real and applicable to each and every student.
We would not hesitate to rehire Mr. Jeffrey should he ever make his way back to South Carolina.

Results
- Reached a 54% AP U.S. History exam pass rate across four annual sections, above state, national and global averages.
- Kept state Civics Exam pass rates above 94%.
- Earned AP U.S. History certification and took on the school's most advanced social studies students as a young teacher.
Teaching for the real world
- Built lessons around current events and real-world examples, like teaching supply and demand through ride-share pricing.
- Taught government in a nonpartisan way that let students form their own views.
- Designed differentiated instruction and assessment for 120+ students a year across every course level.
- Offered tutoring before school, after school and during every lunch block.
Beyond the classroom
- Led the Government and Economics professional learning community through data-driven curriculum review, and collaborated in the Advanced Studies PLC.
- Advised the Model United Nations club, coaching students for university conferences.
- Ran an unofficial lunchtime chess club.
- Turned a fountain pen collection into a classroom incentive, crowdsourcing pens and ink from friends and family for students to earn.
Why it matters now
- The classroom is where I learned to design for real learners. It is the foundation of every training program I build today.
